Infinity: the new commercial megaproject that will boost economic growth and investment attraction in Valencia

Valencia, 20 November 2025 – Valencia is taking a decisive step forward in strengthening its position as a Mediterranean hub for investment and economic activity with the construction of Infinity, which will become one of Spain’s largest shopping centres by 2028. The project, led by businessman Tomás Olivo through General de Galerías Comerciales, involves an investment of 500 million euros and represents a strategic commitment to urban development, job creation and the city’s international appeal.

Construction will begin in January 2026 in the new Turianova district and will continue for two years. Infinity will offer 92,000 square metres of gross leasable area, more than 240 commercial operators, a hotel, dining and leisure areas, and a potential artificial wave pool, envisioned as a unique feature with national reach. The complex will also include a multi-storey car park with capacity for around 4,000 vehicles.

A driver of employment and competitiveness

The project will create 9,000 permanent jobs, including 6,000 direct and 3,000 indirect positions. Making a significant contribution to the local labour market and strengthening the service, retail and tourism ecosystem. For Valencia, Infinity marks the arrival of an experienced operator: Olivo currently manages 13 large-format retail centres in Spain. Bringing reliability, professionalised management and strong pulling power for new brands.

A project with strong impact on foreign investment attraction

Infinity is a key asset for Valencia’s foreign direct investment (FDI) strategy for several reasons:

  • It increases the commercial and hotel capacity of Valencia, essential for international companies seeking to establish themselves in dynamic, well-connected urban environments.

  • It improves the service offering in Turianova, a district undergoing rapid development, enhancing its viability as a new urban area and enabling the arrival of new residential, corporate and commercial projects.

  • It positions Valencia as a destination for major retail, leisure and tourism investments, sectors that traditionally act as strong catalysts for FDI and as entry points for global brands.

  • It enhances the urban environment, improving connectivity and the overall attractiveness of the city’s southern area; an essential element for attracting new companies in logistics, advanced services and urban economies.

A new landmark for the city and the region

Infinity is not designed as a retail space for a single neighbourhood. Its scale, layout and tenant mix position it as a city- and region-wide project capable of attracting visitors and operators at a national level. With more than 55% of its commercial space already committed and an architectural proposal focused on natural light, comfortable circulation and spacious areas. The complex is poised to become one of Valencia’s major urban landmarks.

The City Council and project stakeholders have expressed full confidence in its technical feasibility. Including flood-risk mitigation measures and mobility solutions to ensure efficient access.
