The Valencia Half Marathon brings together 25,000 runners from around the world.

Valencia, October 28, 2025 – On October 26, Valencia hosted a new edition of the Valencia Half Marathon Trinidad Alfonso Zurich. Bringing together more than 25,000 runners from 138 nationalities. The race, now part of the international amateur athletics calendar, once again filled the city’s streets with sport, energy, and community spirit.

A reflection of Valencia’s active lifestyle

Each year, the Half Marathon stands out as an event that combines sport, health, and social connection. The growing participation of international runners —reaching 44% of the total this year— highlights Valencia’s appeal as an open, dynamic city committed to wellbeing.

The city offers ideal conditions for outdoor sports: a mild climate, accessible routes, and iconic locations such as the former Turia riverbed, the Port, or the City of Arts and Sciences, which form part of the course and create a unique experience for visitors.

An event with economic and social impact

Beyond its sporting success, the Half Marathon also has a positive economic and social impact on the city. Attracting thousands of visitors and driving sectors related to tourism and services. This year’s edition also stood out for its solidarity: over €57,000 were raised for the Association of Families and Deaf People of the Province of Valencia (ASPAS Valencia). Thanks to the Z Zurich Foundation initiative and the voluntary contributions of participants.

Valencia, city of running

The Half Marathon is part of the Valencia Ciudad del Running strategy. Led by the Trinidad Alfonso Foundation and the City Council of Valencia, which promotes sports practice and healthy tourism. With more than 25 popular races held each year, the city continues to strengthen its position as an environment that fosters an active, healthy, and balanced lifestyle.

The strong participation in this edition reflects how sport is part of Valencia’s identity and how it contributes to projecting an image of a welcoming, sustainable city with a high quality of life.
