València, June 10, 2025 – The fifth edition of the Smart Business International Congress: Innovation & Values, held in València, brought to the forefront an undeniable truth: technology alone does not bring transformation — it does so when aligned with people, the real needs of cities, and the ability to foster cooperation among diverse stakeholders.
During the panel discussion titled “Strategies in Smart Technologies: Personalized, Predictive, and Sustainable”, participants explored how artificial intelligence, responsible data use, and open innovation are reshaping diverse sectors. Such as healthcare, energy, mobility, and public administration.
Insights from a Multisector Perspective
The discussion brought together professionals from a wide range of backgrounds. From healthcare and industrial AI to local government and global tech — enriching a debate centered on a shared idea. The need to anticipate challenges through useful, ethical, and collaborative technology.
Attendees had the opportunity to hear firsthand insights and experiences from Esther Aucejo. Digital Project Manager in the Innovation and Digital Transformation Area at Ribera Salud; Ricardo Vinuesa. co-founder of XturIA; David Rosa. Director of Valencia Innovation Capital; Steve Bryen. Managing Director of Mesh AI; and José Ventura. Data & AI Sales Representative at IBM. The session was moderated by Paola Miquel. Director of Invest in València at Cámara Valencia, who guided the conversation with a strategic view of technology’s role in transforming cities.
Data, AI, and Shared Technology
Key issues included the ongoing challenge of data interoperability and how data silos still hinder the development of predictive models that benefit citizens. The discussion also addressed the role of generative AI in uncertain environments and the importance of building shared models across European cities to avoid duplication and maximize collective value.
Real-world examples of applied innovation in hospitals were also shared, including virtual assistants already interacting with patients, cyber-rehabilitation programs, and remote diagnosis through teledermatology.
What made the event truly enriching was its diversity. The convergence of tech companies, healthcare groups, innovation centers, large corporations, startups, public institutions, and organizations like Invest in Valencia. These kinds of forums not only inspire — they create real alliances that turn innovation into impact.
At Invest in Valencia, we thank the organizers of the Smart Business Congress for fostering this space for reflection and connection. Essential to continuing the development of an intelligent, open, and globally connected city.
