Opentop launches startup call for PEIC 2026, with a new two-day format for port-logistics innovation in Valencia

  • New two-day format: For the first time, the Port Entrepreneurship International Congress will take place over two complementary days: the PEIC Resilience Forum on 20 October and the plenary session on 21 October.
  • Call open until 13 July. The call is aimed at startups, scale-ups and tech SMEs with solutions for port resilience, the blue economy, supply chain efficiency or energy transition.

Opentop, the innovation hub of Fundación Valenciaport, has officially launched the call for startups, scale-ups and tech SMEs interested in taking part in the fourth edition of the Port Entrepreneurship International Congress (PEIC). The event will take place on 20 and 21 October 2026 in Valencia.

A new format: two days, two opportunities

The main new feature of the fourth edition is the PEIC Resilience Forum. This event will take place on 20 October at the facilities of the Port Authority of Valencia. It will be fully dedicated to port resilience. Organised by Opentop and developed with the methodology and experience of the 300 Maritime Ventures Program, the PEIC Resilience Forum is a high-level event.It will feature an intensive matchmaking format. Its aim is to connect the most innovative startups in port resilience with innovation agents from international port authorities, maritime corporations and investors.

The following day, on 21 October, the PEIC plenary session will be held at the City of Arts and Sciences in Valencia. It will take place within the framework of Valencia Digital Summit (VDS), one of Europe’s leading technology events. Following the consolidated format of the three previous editions, the day will combine thematic sessions, live demonstrations, keynote speeches and the PEIC Awards ceremony. Selected startups will present their solutions alongside sector experts. At the PEIC Awards, the attending audience will choose the winning innovation.

The PEIC 2026 programme is structured around four key areas: resilience, port safety and security; sustainability, decarbonisation and energy transition; supply chain efficiency and the blue economy.

A call open to international innovation

The call aims to select innovative technology companies with international scalability potential. These companies must be able to provide transformative solutions to the challenges of the port-logistics sector. The application period will remain open until Monday, 13 July 2026.
