Valencia, 20 November 2025 – VLC Photonics, a Hitachi group company and a leader in engineering services for the design and testing of Integrated Photonic Circuits, is pleased to announce the relocation of its main headquarters. The new facilities are located at Carrer Botiguers, 5, 46980 Paterna (Valencia), within the Táctica Business Park.
In addition, this move reflects the natural evolution of the company.
A strategic milestone after 14 years at the UPV
After 14 years of successful activity on the technology campus of the Universitat Politècnica de València (UPV), this strategic relocation marks an important milestone in the trajectory of VLC Photonics. Therefore, it will allow the company to expand its capabilities and strengthen its operations. It will also help serve its growing base of national and international customers more efficiently.
Official inauguration of the new facilities
The inauguration ceremony was chaired by Salvador Coll, Vice-Rector for Innovation and Transfer at the UPV, Juan Antonio Sagredo, Mayor of Paterna, Ester Olivas, Director General for Entrepreneurship and Internationalization of the Generalitat Valenciana (GVA) and Deputy Director of IVACE, Julio Delgado, Director of Industry of the GVA;, Takashi Iizume, Chairman of the Board of Hitachi High-Tech.
“Our new facilities in the Táctica Business Park offer a better working environment, with upgraded laboratories and a state-of-the-art cleanroom for microchip testing,” said Iñigo Artundo, CEO of VLC Photonics. “This relocation will allow us to increase our service capacity and continue delivering top-level photonic design and testing solutions to our clients around the world.”
The new headquarters provides VLC Photonics with a modern and scalable infrastructure. It is designed to support long-term growth and foster innovation in the field of integrated photonics. The facilities, with a total area of 1,545 m², include:

795 m² of laboratories, including a 315 m² cleanroom (ISO-7, Class 10,000).

810 m² of office space.
The facilities are located in one of the most dynamic business environments in Valencia. Táctica Business Park offers excellent connectivity and is only 15 minutes from the airport. Additionally, it provides logistical advantages and wide possibilities for expansion within a 16,000 m² business complex.
Continuity of activities at the UPV
The company will maintain some of its operations on the UPV campus. This is due to its close collaboration with the university in talent attraction and training, as well as in research and development (R&D) activities. Therefore, the relocation reaffirms VLC Photonics’ commitment to excellence and leadership in photonic innovation.
