Valencia strengthens its international appeal as a strategic destination for direct investment

Valencia, 18 December, 2025- Valencia continues to consolidate its position as one of Southern Europe’s most competitive destinations for foreign direct investment. This progress is driven by the catalytic role of Invest in Valencia, the office promoted by the City Council of Valencia and Cámara Valencia.

In 2025, Invest in Valencia supported the establishment of 25 international companies. These projects generated more than 920 qualified jobs and attracted over €152 million in investment, the highest annual figure since the office was created.
These results reinforce Valencia’s capacity to attract long-term, high value-added international investment projects.

A competitive ecosystem that lowers barriers for investors

One of Valencia’s main differentiators is its comprehensive investor support model. This model is designed to reduce timelines, minimise risks and support companies throughout their landing process.

Invest in Valencia also facilitates the integration of new investors into the local economic, technological and innovation ecosystem, ensuring a smoother and more efficient setup.

Since its launch in 2021, Invest in Valencia has attracted 77 international companies. Together, these companies have created nearly 3,800 jobs and mobilised close to €400 million in total investment.
These figures reflect sustained growth and a strong capacity to absorb foreign direct investment.

Growth has been especially significant over the past two and a half years. This period accounts for 75% of total job creation and an 83% increase in investment, reaching €310 million.
This acceleration confirms the growing international interest in Valencia as an investment destination.

Talent, innovation and public-private collaboration

Valencia offers international companies a stable, competitive and talent-driven environment. The city benefits from a strong university base, a growing technology community and a dynamic innovation ecosystem.

This ecosystem is aligned with strategic sectors such as digitalisation, sustainability and the knowledge economy, making Valencia an attractive location for future-oriented business projects.

In addition, Valencia is supported by an effective public-private collaboration model. Investors benefit from a single, specialised point of contact throughout the development of their projects.
This approach simplifies decision-making and strengthens Valencia’s competitiveness compared to other European locations.

International projection and city branding

The consolidation of Valencia’s city brand as an investment destination is also supported by initiatives such as the Invest in Valencia Ambassadors Programme.

This programme enhances the city’s international visibility through high-profile professionals from fields including economics, culture, innovation and international institutions.

With these results, Valencia positions itself as an open and investor-ready city. The city is prepared to host sustainable business projects that generate quality employment and long-term economic value.
As a result, Valencia consolidates its role as a strategic hub for direct investment in the European Mediterranean.
