Switched On: Towards more battery sovereignty A Loom Roundtable

Invest in Valencia and the Valencia Chamber of Commerce to take part in Loom roundtable on Europe’s battery sovereignty Invest in Valencia and the Valencia Chamber of Commerce will take part in “Switched On: Towards More Battery Sovereignty”, a high-level roundtable organised by Loom Strategy Centre in Valencia on 25 March 2026. The event will bring together key representatives from across Europe’s battery ecosystem to discuss how to strengthen the resilience, competitiveness and strategic autonomy of the European battery value chain. Held in Valencia, the roundtable will address some of the main challenges shaping the future of battery production in Europe, including supply chain exposure, industrial scaling, deployment, recycling and the growing links between batteries, energy, automotive and defence. The discussion will also focus on the trade-offs Europe must confront in order to build a stronger and more coordinated battery industry. Invest in Valencia and the Valencia Chamber of Commerce will be represented by Luz Martínez, Director of the International Department at the Valencia Chamber of Commerce, and Álvaro Guerrero, Business Developer at Invest in Valencia, joining a selected group of industry leaders, policymakers and stakeholders from organisations such as PowerCo, BASQUEVOLT, BBVA, Carnegie Europe, Customcells and Valenciaport. Our participation in this roundtable reflects a shared commitment to positioning Valencia as a competitive destination for industrial innovation, sustainable investment and future-oriented technologies. As Europe accelerates its energy transition, forums such as this are essential to foster dialogue, encourage collaboration and help shape the conditions needed for strategic industrial projects to grow. By attending this event, Invest in Valencia continues to support initiatives that connect global industrial challenges with local opportunities, reinforcing Valencia’s role within Europe’s evolving innovation and industrial landscape.
