4YFN talks about the future. Valencia is already building it.

Invest in valencia en la 4YFM

Valencia, March 5, 2026 – Valencia has used one of the most relevant global events for innovative companies to deliver a clear message: the city is not only an exceptional place to live, but also a decisive environment for innovation, growth and business expansion in Europe.

From March 2 to 5, Invest in Valencia participated in 4YFN (4 Years From Now) — the leading event for startups and innovation ecosystems held alongside the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona — together with the city’s innovation ecosystem, València Innovation Capital and Startup Valencia.

Valencia’s presence at this global forum provided an opportunity to showcase the dynamism of the local technology ecosystem. As well as the opportunities the city offers to international companies looking to innovate, scale and establish their operations in Europe.

An ecosystem already delivering tangible results

During the event, Paula Llobet, Councillor for Tourism, Innovation and Investment Attraction, highlighted the institutional commitment that is transforming the city:

“Valencia has always been a great place to live, but now it is also a great place to innovate. And innovation thrives because there is a clear commitment from the City Council to support the sector with resources, tools and an administration that facilitates progress rather than slowing it down.”

This institutional commitment is reflected in concrete results. The Valencian startup ecosystem has <strong data-start=”1695″ data-end=”1753″>already attracted more than €200 million in investment, generates over 20,000 highly qualified jobs, and is valued at close to €4 billion.

In 2025 alone, 25 international companies chose Valencia as their destination, bringing over €152 million in investment and creating 920 new jobs.

The 46 Valencia Mediterranean Tech Hub: a strategic investment hub

One of the most significant announcements presented at 4YFN was the approval of the first Urban Technology Enclave in the Valencian Community: the 46 Valencia Mediterranean Tech Hub.

This initiative integrates strategic locations such as La Marina, the Port of Valencia and the municipal buildings of València Innovation Capital — La Harinera and Las Naves. All of them under a shared vision of a technological and sustainable city.

For international companies, the hub also offers concrete competitive advantages. Such as tax incentives of up to 95% on the ICIO construction tax for new technological investments. This incentive framework is designed to reduce barriers and accelerate business establishment in a city that is increasingly gaining international recognition.

Quality of life and technological ambition: a unique combination

Valencia’s global positioning is not based solely on its innovation policies. The city has been ranked the best city in the world to live in according to the InterNations Expat City Ranking. It also consistently ranks among the top positions in Numbeo’s Quality of Life Index. International media such as Forbes have also highlighted Valencia as one of the most attractive destinations worldwide to live, work and develop business projects.

This combination — proven quality of life and a rapidly growing tech ecosystem — is precisely what differentiates Valencia from other European cities. The City Council has decided to transform this advantage into a structural driver for attracting talent, investment and technology companies.

A vibrant, connected and international ecosystem

At the València Innovation Capital stand at 4YFN, 16 Valencian startups and more than 20 ecosystem stakeholders were present, including accelerators, investment funds, innovation hubs and entrepreneurship support organisations.

Among them was Invest in Valencia, which actively contributed to promoting the city internationally as a strategic destination for foreign investment.

The coordinated presence of all these actors at the Mobile World Congress ecosystem clearly demonstrates that Valencia’s innovation ecosystem is not only growing in scale but doing so in a cohesive and globally oriented way.
