Valencia, October 30, 2025 – Valencia takes another step forward in its consolidation as the Mediterranean capital of innovation with the official declaration of the 46 Valencia Mediterranean Tech Hub, an urban technology district comprising 74,000 m² dedicated to research, development, and technology across La Marina, La Harinera, and Nazaret.
The project officially recognizes this area as a leading technological cluster. Under the framework of Law 14/2018 on the management and modernization of industrial areas in the Valencian Community.
A strategic environment to attract investment and talent
The new district gives Valencia a real competitive advantage in attracting tech companies and international projects by concentrating startups, innovation centers, universities, technology institutes, and established companies in a single space.
Thanks to its recognition as a technological enclave, companies setting up in the area will benefit from tangible advantages:
-
95% discount on the ICIO tax (Tax on Construction, Installations and Works) for new technological investments.
-
Priority access to regional R&D&I grants and innovation support programs.
-
Simplified procedures and a municipal one-stop service to streamline administrative processes.
-
Availability of coworking spaces, shared labs, and experimental environments.
These measures provide a direct boost to the attraction of international projects, the growth of deep tech startups, and the establishment of foreign companies seeking innovative, agile, and connected ecosystems.
A public-private collaboration model that strengthens the ecosystem
The 46 Valencia Mediterranean Tech Hub is the result of a strong public-private partnership between the Valencia City Council, the Port Authority, the Polytechnic University of Valencia, the University of Valencia, the REDIT network of technology institutes, and the local entrepreneurial ecosystem.
This model integrates the university–city alliance, ensuring that research and technology transfer have a direct impact on Valencia’s urban and productive challenges.
In the words of Paula Llobet, Councillor for Innovation and Investment Attraction, “This project represents the Valencia we envision: open, innovative, and talent-driven, fully aligned with the Valencia Innovation Capital strategy.”
Valencia, the Mediterranean technology hub
The 46 Valencia Mediterranean Tech Hub becomes a new symbol of the city’s economic and technological transformation. Reinforcing its position as a key node for innovation, entrepreneurship, and investment in the Mediterranean arc.
For international companies and investment funds, this district offers a stable, competitive, and connected environment, supported by world-class infrastructure, skilled talent, and strong pro-innovation policies.
Valencia continues to consolidate itself as a Mediterranean benchmark in technology and innovation. Where collaboration, knowledge, and long-term vision translate into real opportunities for global growth.
